In the morning, our guide and driver will pick you up in a private car and transfer you to Ben Tre.
After a 2-hour drive from Ho Chi Minh City, you'll arrive at An Hoa bridge in Ben Tre province. Visit a workshop to see how locals peel, split, and pare coconuts using traditional methods. Then, take a boat to a local factory where you'll observe the process of making activated charcoal from coconut shells.
Cross the Mekong River, passing Cua Dai and Cua Tieu, and arrive at Tam Hiep Island, located 30 km from the Eastern Sea. A rowing boat will then take you deeper into the countryside along smaller canals, allowing you to enjoy the tranquil surroundings. Stop at a local family home to savor various fruits and honey-tea. Walk or bike along village paths through extensive orchards to a special farm where creepers (called La Sam) are grown. Pick some leaves and make and taste this unique herbal jelly.
Continue biking or walking to Ut Trinh’s home for a delightful lunch. After lunch, take a boat to visit Long Thanh Communal House, a site recognized as a national architectural heritage, before returning to your car.
